National Frameworks
The Early Learning Frameworks
The Early Years Learning Framework is part of the Council of Australian Government’s (COAG) reform agenda for early childhood education and care and is a key component of the Australian Government’s National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care. It describes the principles and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their tradition to school.
The National Safe Schools Framework
The Framework provides Australian schools with a vision and a set of guiding principles to help school communities be proactive in developing effective student safety and wellbeing policies. This vision includes creating learning environments which are free from bullying, harassment, aggression and violence.
National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools
The National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools was developed from the Values Education Study 2003 and national consultation of the Draft Framework. The Framework recognises the values education policies and programs already in place in education authorities and Australian schools. It also recognises that there is a significant history of values education in government and non-government schools drawing on a range of philosophies, beliefs and traditions.
Sustainability Curriculum Framework
This document is intended for curriculum developers and policy makers at national, state and territory levels (and, indirectly, all who use curricula in learning environments). It provides information and guidance on how education for sustainability may be structured to support a progression of learning from Kindergarten to Year 10.
